It was the last day of the trip and everyone was feeling tired and bummed.

We decided to take a drive to Addo Elephant Park, one of the top game parks in the Eastern Cape. We picked up Kelly Slater left all our boards and stuff in J-Bay and set off in search of wild African animals!

It took a while to get there due to some road works and there was some confusion about which entrance to use but we eventually found our way around to the main entrance and got booked into a guided game park tour.

The tour was going brilliantly until we got a call from the base camp informing us our one van was on fire!

Someone had been smoking in it and not put out their smoke properly. It was smoldering and the entire van was full of smoke! There was a crowd of park rangers around the car waiting for it to explode and possibly cause a devastating bush fire that would destroy the entire park! This was not to be. We opened the door and the smoke cleared. Such an anticlimax.

We continued the tour and saw Elephant, Buffalo, Antelope, Warthogs, Ostriches and lots more. It was a great day but felt really weird that everyone was going to be going there own way in the morning.
